Winter flowers immersion day

£175.00

Immerse yourselves in the beauty of winter and connect to the seasons with our winter flower immersion day.

Whilst many view winter as stark and bare, we see so many hidden treasures and beautiful elements to arrange with, you just have to take a moment to notice them. The harsh winter landscape is a source of inspiration, and we believe in leaning into those bare lichen covered branches, hunting out those emergent stems, early blossom and diminutive but no less beautiful robust little flowers of the season.

Join us for a full day of artistic floral design within the unique setting of Howbury Hall and the Walled Garden.

Whether you are new to flower arranging, or a more experienced florist looking to hone your craft in a more artistic, seasonal and sustainable way, our Winter flowers immersion day offers you a retreat into nature within the Walled Garden and grounds of Howbury Hall. Reconnect with your creative self, the wild beauty of nature and develop your flor-art-istry.

The day will begin at 9.30am with coffee and a tour through the Walled Gardens and grounds of Howbury Hall, where we will explore the ‘art of the cut’, and how to select, cut and condition flowers from your own garden or plots for use in arranging.

From the Walled Garden we move through to the Flower Barn for a morning creating artful, asymmetric and tumbling centrepieces, sculpted tablescapes in our bespoke Foreday’s footed bowls. Lunch will be enjoyed within the Great Hall at a table scaped by the group.

During the afternoon we explore the design and creation of a large foam-free installation either in the grounds of the Estate or within the Hall itself.

The cost of this full day workshop is £375, with a deposit of £175 payable upon booking and the balance due a month before the workshop.

Please read our Terms and Conditions before purchasing.
